Job Title: Oracle EBS Finance Functional / TechnoFunctional Consultant

Experience: 5 14 Years


Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Finance Consultant with strong functional or techno-functional expertise across core Finance modules. The ideal candidate will have handson experience in Oracle EBS R12 implementations, support, enhancements, customizations, and integrations. This role requires strong understanding of finance business processes, excellent problemsolving skills, and the ability to work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams.

Key Responsibilities

Functional Responsibilities

  • Lead or support Oracle EBS Finance module activities across:
  • GL (General Ledger)
  • AP (Accounts Payable)
  • AR (Accounts Receivable)
  • FA (Fixed Assets)
  • CM (Cash Management)
  • iProcurement / PO (nice to have)
  • Work with business users for requirements gathering, gap analysis, solution design, and documentation.
  • Configure Finance modules based on business requirements and best practices.
  • Support monthend / yearend activities, reconciliations, accounting setups, and financial reporting.
  • Prepare and update MD50/BR100/FDD documents.

TechnoFunctional Responsibilities (if applicable)

  • Provide technical support on:
  • SQL queries, data analysis
  • Oracle Forms/Reports
  • XML Publisher
  • Workflow customization/troubleshooting
  • Interfaces & integrations (API, Web Services)
  • Work with technical teams to design, test, and deploy enhancements/custom objects.
  • Perform unit testing, SIT, UAT, and manage defect resolution.

Implementation & Support

  • Experience in at least one fullcycle Oracle EBS R12 implementation (preferred).
  • Handle production support tickets, rootcause analysis, and performance improvements.
  • Coordinate with crossfunctional teams (SCM, HCM, DBA, Infra) for issue resolution.
  • Prepare user training materials and conduct enduser training sessions.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 514 years of experience in Oracle EBS R12 Finance modules.
  • Strong hands-on experience with GL, AP, AR, FA, CM.
  • Good understanding of finance processes:
  • P2P, O2C, Record-to-Report (R2R), Asset Accounting, Cash Cycle.
  • Ability to work in both functional or techno-functional capacity.
  • Strong skills in:
  • Writing functional documents (BRD, MD50, MD70)
  • Testing, validation, UAT coordination
  • Troubleshooting and user support
  • Good analytical and communication skills.

Good-to-Have Skills

  • Exposure to OAF / BI Publisher / Workflows / APIs.
  • Knowledge of Oracle EBS upgrades (11i to R12 / 12.2.x).
  • Experience with integrations between EBS and external systems.
  • Exposure to Cloud Finance (Oracle Fusion) is a plus.
  • Onsite client-facing experience is an advantage.

Education

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering / Finance / Accounting / Computer Science (or related).
  • Oracle certifications (nice to have).
