Oracle DBA Admin with PostgreSQL/MS-SQL/MongoDB-6-8Years- Chennai

Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Database Administrator who is responsible for the development, performance, integrity, and security of database systems. The main duties include maintaining adherence to a data management policy and improving the overall efficiency of a company's database framework.

Responsibilities

• Installation of RDBMS software and creation of Oracle databases on windows/Linux platform
• Good knowledge of PL/SQL and exp-imp data pump utility.
• Creating users, allocation to appropriate table space, as with necessary privileges and roles for all databases.
• Monitoring, backups, troubleshooting, security, user maintenance, reporting, migrations, upgrades, data copying, etc.
• Work with application teams on database design and database issues.
• Disaster recovery and database restoration
• Experience with at least one of PostgreSQL, MS-SQL and MongoDB.
• Basic understanding of cloud environments, preferably Azure and AWS
• Data warehouse experience
• Database performance tuning and configuring stats pack report.
• Work with Engineering teams to address concerns and maintain database standards.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot database errors.
• Recommend and implement emerging database technologies.
• Create and manage database reports, visualizations, and dashboards.
• Create automation for repeating database tasks.

Qualifications:

• 6-9 years’ experience of implementing database solutions.
• Strong command of SQL and SQL server tools.
• Advanced knowledge of Oracle database security, backup and recovery, and performance monitoring standards
• Good understanding of relational data modeling
• Familiarity with data replication using ADG and Oracle Goldengate
• Monitor and maintain system health and security.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in Python, Bash shell scripting, and SQL.
• Clear understanding of Data Structures and Object-Oriented Principles.
• Multiple years of experience supporting horizontally scalable, highly available, highly resilient, and low latency applications
• Multiple years of experience with Cloud-native development and Container Orchestration tools (Serverless, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, etc.). 
• Experience in cloud native technologies and patterns (AWS, Google Cloud)

Education

• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
