What we are looking for

Role: Oracle DBA

Experience Range: 8 10 Years

Location: Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mumbai

Interview Mode : Friday Online Interview

Must Have:

1. Installing and maintaining the Oracle and SQL database software.
2. Hands on experience with Database upgrade activities and migration activities
3. Creating storage database structures with high-level security features.
4. Hands on experience with patching, DB failover activities
5. Altering storage structures to meet the evolving needs of the company.
6. Setting up database user accounts/ user management
7. Training users on how to access the information in the database.
8. Finding and debugging malfunctioning programs affecting the database integrity.
9. Creating autonomous database backups.
10. Regularly updating the database security protocols.
11. Familiarity with Oracle database design, coding, and documentation.
12. Knowledge of database backup procedures, recovery systems, and SQL.
13. Knowledge of programming languages and API.
14. Operating system experience in Linux
15. Oracle management tools (Data Guard, RMAN, Data pump).
16. Partitioning.
17. Hands on experience with DB standards and end user applications-translating capacity requirements into infrastructure deployment technology.
18. Strong practical experience of ORACLE in a production RAC (ASM) environment (11gR2) and higher versions.
19. Knowledge on SQL / PLSQL processes.
20. Take ownership of performance and capacity monitoring aspects of the DB
21. Contribute to the creation and maintenance of disaster recovery plans.
22. Create a reliable backup strategy. Ensure database backups are appropriately executed and periodic restorations are exercised to ensure backup quality.
23. Performance testing and evaluation to ensure data security, privacy and integrity. Identification of bottle necks and deadlock issues

Good to Have:

1. Well organized with ability to multi-task and work with minimum supervision with quick learning skills.
2. Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical issues

15 years of full-time education
