Position Title: Oracle Cloud Principal Payroll Consultant (Managed Services)
The Role
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Oracle Cloud HCM Consultant (Payroll) to join our Managed Services team. The ideal candidate will have strong functional expertise in Oracle Cloud Payroll, including configuration, testing, and support of end-to-end payroll processes. This role involves working closely with UK teams and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality payroll solutions, ensure compliance, and support operational excellence.
A deep understanding of Oracle Cloud Payroll functionality, quarterly update management, and complex issue resolution is essential, along with strong client-facing communication skills.
You will:
- Work hands-on as a Oracle Cloud Principal Payroll Consultant (Managed Services), triaging, diagnosing, and resolving complex client issues across Payroll and related modules
- Lead client requirement gathering sessions and design solutions.
- Work on configuration, processing, troubleshooting, maintenance, support and legislative compliance
- Coordinate with technical team for integration build and testing.
- Perform end-to-end setup activities including Payroll Definitions, Elements, Balances, Fast Formulas, Payroll Flow Patterns, and Calculation rules
- Handle payroll parallel runs, validations, and reconciliations during implementation or production cycles
- Lead and participate in testing cycles (SIT, UAT, Regression) and coordinate with business users for sign-off
- Support quarterly Oracle Cloud release testing and document configuration impacts
- Troubleshoot and replicate functional issues, escalating to Oracle as needed and maintaining clear, well-documented resolutions
- Prepare and maintain configuration workbooks, functional design documents, and user guides
- Provide post go-live and production support, resolving payroll-related incidents within SLA
- Deliver and coordinate training and knowledge-sharing sessions for team members to support capability growth and process alignment
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring a high level of satisfaction through responsive, proactive support and communication
- Drive improvements in support processes, documentation, and internal tooling, helping to establish a scalable, high-performing payroll support model
- Review and recommend enhancements from Oracle Cloud updates that would deliver value to clients
- Actively contribute to internal knowledge bases and support materials, and champion a culture of continuous improvement
- Provide strategic input into the ongoing development and structure of the Managed Services team

Skills & Experience
Essential:
- At least 8 plus years of relevant experience with at least two full cycle Oracle Cloud Payroll implementations, specifically in Payroll.
- Strong knowledge of any seeded payroll legislation, statutory requirements and payroll processes
- Hands-on experience configuring core Payroll components such as payroll elements, fast formulas and calculation rules
- Experience of supporting large complex solutions with multiple stakeholders
- Troubleshooting problems, including functional replication of issues
- Experience of reviewing the impact of the Oracle cloud quarterly updates and identifying enhancements that would benefit clients
- Documenting and reviewing of the enhancements. Train the team on the enhancements.
- Should be competent in writing Fast Formulae for Payroll and has strong working knowledge of Payroll processes.

- Exposure to Jira and ServiceNow would be a plus.
- Exposure to payroll in different legislative regions (e.g. India, or EMEA)
- Experience working in a multi-regional or global support model
- Previous involvement in client onboarding or managed services transition projects
- Knowledge on ISO9001 (QMS) will be an added advantage.

- Oracle Cloud Payroll Implementation specialist (obtained or willing to work towards)
