Job Description
As part of the Oracle EBS Support organization, the Oracle EBS ASCP Functional Consultant will deliver post-sales functional support, enhancements, and planning solutions to Oracle customers. The role acts as a key functional advisor for Advanced Planning processes, ensuring planning accuracy, data integrity, and seamless integration with execution modules. The consultant will independently handle complex planning issues, support critical customer operations, and collaborate across SCM, Finance, and technical teams.
Core ExpectationsThe candidate is expected to have strong functional depth in Oracle EBS Advanced Supply Chain Planning (ASCP) with a clear understanding of planning data flow from execution modules into planning engines.
- In-depth understanding of Oracle EBS SCM data model, planning architecture, and transactional data flow
- Strong exposure to Supply Chain Planning concepts: Demand, Supply, Capacity, and Scheduling
- Ability to analyse, troubleshoot, and optimize planning outputs
- Operates independently on complex functional issues requiring judgment and planning expertise
- Advanced Supply Chain Planning (ASCP)
- Global Order Promising (GOP)
- Demand Planning (DP) – Forecasting, Collections, Exceptions
- Supply Planning – MRP, constrained planning, pegging

Key Responsibilities- Provide functional support for Oracle EBS ASCP including planning runs, data collections, and exceptions
- Analyze and resolve issues related to:
- Incorrect plan outputs
- Missing or incorrect supply/demand
- Collection failures and data inconsistencies
- Configure and support:
- ASCP Plan Options
- Sourcing Rules
- ATP / CTP rules (GOP)
- Forecast sets and demand schedules
- Work closely with customers to understand business planning requirements and translate them into ASCP configurations
- Write functional specifications and collaborate with technical teams on ASCP-related enhancements
- Support planning-related integrations between ASCP and execution modules
- Participate in user training, UAT, and knowledge transfer sessions
- Provide periodic status updates and planning insights to stakeholders and management
- Support escalations and Sev1 planning issues in production environments
- Strong awareness of ASCP tables, views, and collections architecture
- Working knowledge of:
- MSC schema
- Planning collections (standard vs ODS)
- Experience with SQL for data analysis and validation
- Exposure to Alerts, ADI, diagnostics, and planning logs
- 6–9 years of relevant Oracle EBS SCM experience
- Minimum 6 years hands-on experience in ASCP / Planning modules
- Engineering Graduate or Post-Graduate degree
- Supply Chain / Planning certifications are an added advantage
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to work independently in high-pressure production environments
- Strong customer management and stakeholder communication skills
- Ability to collaborate across global support teams
- Agile mindset to troubleshoot and resolve planning issues quickly
- Open to work in shifts and support critical planning cycles
- Experience in at least two Oracle EBS implementations, upgrades, rollouts, or support engagements
- Hands-on experience handling production ASCP issues
- Participation in user workshops and training sessions is a plus
- Experience with Oracle EBS R12.x upgrades
- Exposure to planning performance tuning
- Integration knowledge with Finance (costing impact awareness)
- Experience supporting manufacturing or complex supply chain environments
