Job Summary:

The Oracle ERP Support Specialist will be responsible for the implementation, support, and maintenance of Oracle Applications and Databases. The role ensures business continuity through day-to-day support, upgrades, migrations, patching, and administrative tasks. The specialist will provide support across Oracle ERP modules, ASCP, DEMANTRA, ITSM, DISCOVERER, OBIEE, and PostgreSQL databases.

Key Responsibilities:

1. ITS Support for Oracle ERP

• Address and resolve issues received via Call, Email, or ITSM tickets related to Oracle applications and databases.
• Troubleshoot application/database connectivity, performance, and workflow issues.
• Provide support for all Production and Non-Production instances.
• Offer 24/7 support for critical issues or planned major activities on Production instances.
• Support on-premise and cloud-based instances.
• Implement preventive measures to avoid repetitive issues, including alert configurations.

2. Daily, Weekly & Monthly Maintenance Activities

• Conduct daily health checks of Oracle instances.
• Review database and application logs to identify and resolve issues.
• Execute Oracle Demantra/ASCP tasks on the 1st of each month.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleanup of obsolete logs per retention policies.
• Schedule and monitor daily backups for all Production instances.
• Design and maintain backup strategies aligned with organizational RPO and RTO requirements.

3. Oracle ERP Support Activities

• Test patches for applications and databases for bug fixes reported by technical or functional teams.
• Migrate tested patches to Production post-business hours with necessary approvals.
• Perform ad-hoc cloning of Non-Prod instances from Production.
• Conduct code movements twice weekly as requested by the technical team.
• Coordinate with Functional, Technical, Infra, and OS teams for in-depth issue resolution.
• Participate in all support activities typically performed by an Oracle Apps DBA.

4. Project Work & Upgrades

• Execute cross-platform migration of Oracle databases and applications from legacy systems.
• Implement new Oracle instances with the latest application and database versions based on requirements.
• Upgrade existing instances to the latest versions.
• Follow Non-Prod to Production strategy for implementations, upgrades, and migrations.

Qualifications & Competencies:

• Certified Oracle Solution Architect Generation 2 (OCI) and Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) in Applications and Databases.
• Minimum 10+ years of experience as an Oracle Apps DBA or similar role.
• Strong technical and functional knowledge of Oracle ERP, ASCP, DEMANTRA, OBIEE, and associated databases.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and professional skills; able to work independently or within a team to achieve targets.
• Adherence to organizational policies and procedures.
• Demonstrated ability to be a proactive team player in a dynamic environment.
