Job Summary

We are seeking an Oracle APEX Developer responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable web applications using Oracle Application Express (APEX). The role involves strong PL/SQL skills, UI/UX understanding, and the ability to work closely with business teams to deliver highquality solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Application Development & Customization

• Develop, enhance, and maintain applications using Oracle APEX (19c/21c/23c)
• Build interactive reports, forms, dashboards, REST-enabled apps, and dynamic pages
• Implement custom themes, templates, and page components
• Develop complex PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and triggers

Database & Backend Development

• Work extensively with Oracle Database objectstables, views, indexes, sequences
• Optimize SQL queries and PL/SQL code for performance
• Ensure database integrity, performance, and data security

Integrations & APIs

• Integrate APEX apps with REST/SOAP web services
• Work with Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS) for deployments
• Handle API consumption and creation for external system integrations

UI/UX & Application Quality

• Design user-friendly, responsive APEX applications
• Implement validations, dynamic actions, and JavaScript customizations
• Conduct unit testing and support UAT cycles
• Prepare technical documentation, design documents, and deployment guides

Support & Collaboration

• Provide production support and troubleshoot application issues
• Collaborate with business analysts, QA, and infra teams
• Participate in design discussions and contribute to technical improvements

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong handson experience with Oracle APEX (minimum 2+ years)
• Excellent knowledge of PL/SQL, SQL tuning, and database concepts
• Experience with ORDS, REST APIs, JSON, and JavaScript
• Understanding of APEX security, authentication, and authorization schemes
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, jQuery, and dynamic actions
• Experience deploying APEX apps across environments

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Knowledge of Oracle Database 19c/21c administration basics
• Experience with version control tools (Git, Bitbucket)
• Exposure to CI/CD and DevOps for APEX deployments
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (OCI, AWS) and APEX hosting
• Understanding of APEX plug-ins and theme customizations
