Ophthalmic Assistant

We are hiring a dedicated and patient-focused Ophthalmic Assistant to support ophthalmologists and clinical teams in OPD, diagnostics, and surgical workflows. The role is essential in ensuring efficient patient care, accurate preliminary assessments, and smooth clinical operations.

• Assist ophthalmologists during OPD consultations and procedures
• Perform preliminary eye examinations including vision testing, tonometry, and pupil dilation as advised
• Prepare patients for diagnostic tests and minor procedures
• Support pre-operative and post-operative patient care and counseling
• Assist in maintaining and handling ophthalmic instruments and equipment
• Ensure proper cleaning, sterilization, and infection control practices
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in HMS
• Coordinate patient movement between OPD, diagnostics, and OT
• Provide courteous and compassionate patient support

• Diploma / Certification in Ophthalmic Assistant / Ophthalmic Technology
• 13 years of experience in an eye hospital or clinic preferred (freshers may apply)
• Basic knowledge of ophthalmic instruments and procedures
• Good communication skills and patient-handling abilities
• Willingness to work in shifts and a fast-paced clinical environment
