Role Overview
We are looking for a highly responsible, entrepreneurial Operations Manager who can independently run day-to-day operations, handle local partnerships, manage staff, oversee vehicles/boats, coordinate with government bodies, and ensure high-quality tourist experiences.
This is a ground-level leadership role with long-term growth potential.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Execution
Manage daily operations of electric carriages and electric boats
Ensure smooth running of tours, rides, and guest experiences
Plan routes, schedules, and service timings
Handle logistics, maintenance coordination, and charging schedules
Team Management
Recruit, train, and manage drivers, guides, and support staff
Ensure discipline, service quality, and safety standards
Create duty rosters and monitor attendance and performance
Prepare simple weekly and monthly reports for promoters
Control operational costs and prevent leakage
Government & Stakeholder Coordination
Coordinate with TTDC, tourism departments, forest department, municipalities, and port/lake authorities
Ensure compliance with permits, licenses, and safety norms
Handle inspections, audits, and reporting
Partnerships & Business Development
Build partnerships with hotels, resorts, travel agents, and event planners
Onboard local vendors and tourism partners
Support event bookings (weddings, corporate events, festivals)
Customer Experience
Ensure premium guest service
Handle feedback, complaints, and service recovery
Maintain brand image of luxury + sustainability
Financial & Reporting
Track daily revenue, expenses, and reporting
Candidate Profile
Must-Have
25 years experience in tourism, hospitality, travel, events, or operations
Strong fieldwork mindset not a desk job
Comfortable travelling and managing multiple locations
Good communication in English and Tamil
Leadership and problem-solving skills
Basic financial understanding (collections, expenses, reporting)
Preferred
Experience with government departments or tourism boards
Experience managing vehicles, boats, or tourist services
Hospitality or tourism degree/diploma
Event management or resort operations background
