Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Operations Head to lead and optimize end-to-end logistics operations. The role involves overseeing transportation, warehousing, supply chain coordination, vendor management, cost optimization, and service delivery excellence.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership capabilities, operational expertise in logistics/3PL, and a proven track record of improving efficiency, reducing costs, and driving operational growth.

Key Responsibilities

1. Operations Management

• Oversee daily logistics operations including transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
• Ensure timely delivery and adherence to service-level agreements (SLAs).
• Monitor KPIs such as OTIF, turnaround time, cost per shipment, fleet utilization, etc.
• Drive operational efficiency and process improvement initiatives.

2. Team Leadership

• Lead and manage regional/branch operations teams.
• Set performance goals and conduct regular reviews.
• Build a high-performance, accountable operations culture.

3. Vendor & Fleet Management

• Manage transport vendors, fleet operations, and contract negotiations.
• Optimize route planning and vehicle utilization.
• Ensure regulatory and compliance adherence (RTO, safety norms, insurance).

4. Cost Control & Budgeting

• Prepare and manage operational budgets.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising service quality.
• Monitor fuel costs, maintenance, warehousing expenses, etc.

5. Client & Stakeholder Management

• Coordinate with key clients to ensure service excellence.
• Handle escalations and resolve operational issues proactively.
• Work closely with Sales & Finance teams for seamless execution.

6. Compliance & Risk Management

• Ensure adherence to logistics laws, safety standards, and statutory compliance.
• Implement risk mitigation strategies and contingency planning.

Key Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain / Logistics / Business Administration (MBA preferred).
• 15+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management.
• Minimum 5 years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of 3PL, freight forwarding, fleet operations, or distribution networks.
• Excellent analytical and decision-making skills.
• Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
