Summary: As an Operations Engineer, you will support the operations and/or manage delivery for production systems and services based on operational requirements and service agreement. You will ensure the smooth functioning of backup and recovery systems. Your typical day will involve monitoring and troubleshooting system issues, implementing backup and recovery strategies, and collaborating with the team to provide efficient solutions. Roles & Responsibilities: - Expected to perform independently and become an SME. - Required active participation/contribution in team discussions. - Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems. - Monitor and maintain backup and recovery systems to ensure data integrity and availability. - Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to backup and recovery systems. - Implement backup and recovery strategies to minimize data loss and downtime. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide efficient solutions. - Continuously improve backup and recovery processes and procedures. - Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in backup and recovery systems. Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Backup and Recovery Systems. - Strong understanding of data backup and recovery concepts and methodologies. - Experience with backup and recovery tools and technologies. - Knowledge of disaster recovery planning and implementation. - Familiarity with cloud-based backup and recovery solutions. - Good To Have Skills: Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure. Additional Information: - The candidate should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in Backup and Recovery Systems. - This position is based at our Bengaluru office. - A 15 years full time education is required. Must have skills: NetBackup, Datadomain Good to have skills: Cohesity, Avamar, Zero data loss recovery appliance (ZDLRA) Roles & Responsibilities: 4-6 years of experience in backup domain. Ready to work in 24*7 environment Strong knowledge & hands on experience on NetBackup Strong knowledge & hands on experience on EMC Data Domain. Install, configure, and maintain NetBackup & Cohesity systems to meet business requirements. Design and implement backup and recovery strategies to safeguard data across multiple platforms and environments. Monitor system performance and capacity, proactively addressing any issues to ensure optimal performance. Develop and maintain documentation related to backup policies, procedures, and configurations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement data protection best practices and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to backup and recovery operations, escalating as necessary to vendor support. Perform regular system upgrades and patches to keep the backup infrastructure up to date and secure. Provide training and support to end-users and IT staff on backup and recovery processes and tools. Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing exercises to validate the effectiveness of backup and recovery procedures.
