Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Wintel and VMware Engineer with 2-4 years of experience to join our IT infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing our Windows server environments and VMware virtual infrastructure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the availability, performance, and security of our server platforms. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities: 1. Windows Server Administration: o Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server 2012/2016/2019 environments. o Ensure system performance by monitoring and resolving performance issues. o Monitor disk space usage across servers, perform regular cleanups, and ensure sufficient storage capacity. o Proactively address and troubleshoot disk space issues, including partition management, log cleanup, and disk optimization. o Troubleshoot server-related issues and provide timely resolutions. 2. VMware Administration: o Manage VMware vSphere environments, including virtual machine (VM) creation, configuration, and maintenance. o Perform regular monitoring, optimization, and troubleshooting of VMware infrastructure. o Maintain high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) setups within the virtual environment. o Perform VM backups, restores, and migrations using appropriate tools. 3. Documentation and Reporting: o Maintain accurate documentation of server configurations, procedures, and operations. o Create reports on server performance, and availability. 4. Collaboration and Support: o Provide Level 2/3 support for server and virtualization-related incidents and service requests. o Collaborate with network and security teams to ensure seamless operations. ________________________________________ Key Skills Technical Skills: o 2-4 years of hands-on experience with Windows Server administration (2016, 2019). o Strong understanding of VMware vSphere (vCenter, ESXi) and virtualization technologies. o Experience with server hardware and storage configurations. o Hands on Experience on SNOW ticketing tool. o Familiarity with backup and restore solutions for virtual environments. o Basic knowledge of PowerShell scripting and automation is a plus. Soft Skills: o Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills. o Ability to work independently and within a team. o Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. o Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously. ________________________________________ Certifications (Preferred): Microsoft Certified: Windows Server (MCSA/MCSE). VMware Certified Professional (VCP). ITIL Foundation certification is a plus.
