SignSetu

SignSetu is an educational platform helping Deaf students learn English literacy through Indian Sign Language in a gamified and accessible way. We work closely with Deaf schools to improve reading and writing outcomes and build inclusive learning environments.

Role Overview

As an Outreach & Operations Associate, you will own SignSetus on-ground presence in your assigned city. This is a field-based role involving weekly check-ins at each partner school, coordination with teachers and school leadership, and ensuring smooth implementation of the SignSetu program.

This role is ideal for freshers or early-career professionals who want hands-on exposure in education, outreach, and social impact, and are comfortable with regular on-ground work.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage relationships with 56 Deaf schools in your assigned city
• Conduct weekly on-ground check-ins at each school
• Support teacher onboarding, demos, and basic training on SignSetu
• Observe classroom usage and track student engagement
• Coordinate with principals, teachers, and school staff
• Collect, organise, and maintain implementation and usage data
• Prepare clear weekly progress reports
• Document feedback, challenges, and on-ground insights
• Support outreach to new Deaf schools for onboarding and partnerships
• Contribute to impact measurement and product improvement insights
• Support media documentation (photos/videos) with prior approval

• Must have own two-wheeler or car for commuting
• Organised, reliable, and proactive in execution
• Strong communication and people skills
• High empathy and patience when working with Deaf students and teachers
• Comfortable using Excel / Google Sheets for tracking and reporting
• Fluent in English + local language (Tamil / Kannada / Marathi / Hindi / Telugu / Malayalam)

Prior experience in outreach, education, NGOs, or social impact is a plus, but not mandatory.
