The Role

We are hiring for an Operational Resilience Manager to join the LSEG Risk Intelligence (RI) Division.

This is a varied role requiring an individual to drive delivery of the operational resilience commitments as well strong governance.

The role reports to the Head of the Risk and Controls team.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Resilience

Ensure resilience frameworks are in line with regulatory requirements (e.g., DORA, FCA’s Operational Resilience framework, Australia’s CPS 230 Prudential standard).

Ensure the organisation meets all the LSEG Operational Risk policy divisional requirements.

Develop and lead risk management programs, including scenario testing and stress-testing exercises to assess the RI division’s ability to withstand operational disruptions.

Coordinate the implementation of business continuity and disaster recovery plans, ensuring they are regularly tested and updated.

Regulatory Knowledge & Compliance:

Keep the organisation in synch with key regulations.

Act as a subject matter expert for regulatory operation resilience initiatives and ensure the RI division is aware of and adhering to all required regulations and controls.

Support the preparation for audits and regulatory inspections, ensuring that all required documentation and evidence are prepared in advance.

Senior Management Communication:

Present key operational resilience updates to the RI Risk Committee, and to associated Group governance forums ensuring they understand potential risks and mitigation strategies.

Provide thought leadership and strategic insights on operational resilience to senior management.

Collaborate cross-functionally with other teams (e.g., IT, legal, compliance) to ensure all aspects of operational resilience are being effectively handled.

Continuous Improvement & Scenario Testing:

Lead scenario testing to assess the resilience of RI functions in the face of various disruptions (e.g., cyber incidents, regulatory changes).

Identify areas for improvement and champion projects to enhance the organisation's overall operational resilience.

Support the development and delivery of training programs to increase awareness of operational resilience across the organisation.

Skills and Experience Required:

Operational Risk Experience:

  • Strong background in operational risk management, resilience, business continuity.
  • Experience working with regulatory frameworks such as DORA, FCA’s operational resilience agenda, and SOC2 compliance desirable.
  • Ability to identify and mitigate operational resilience risks effectively, with a focus on maintaining business continuity.
  • Experience in defining and implementing operational resilience controls, key performance indicators, and key control indicators (KCIs) to measure operational resilience effectiveness and mitigate risks.

Senior-Level Communication & Presentation Skills:

  • Experience presenting sophisticated operational resilience data to senior partners in a clear, actionable manner.
  • Ability to influence senior leaders on risk-related decisions and operational resilience improvements.
  • Strong report-writing skills to deliver structured and impactful presentations.

Scenario Testing & Stress-Testing:

  • Experience in conducting scenario testing and stress-testing exercises, assessing the impact of various risk events on business functions.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications required.
  • Experience of BlueWorks would be helpful.

Experience

  • Ideal candidate will have a 3+ years of experience in one or more of the following Risk areas - Enterprise Risk Management / Operational Risk Management / Non-Financial Risk Management.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of degree level qualification.
