Job Description
Specific Job Responsibilities:
Product Costing
- Support standard cost preparation and release in SAP for Finished Goods (FG) and Semi-Finished Goods (SFG) in line with global cost policies.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance of cost structures, BOMs, and routings within SAP.
- Perform monthly variance analysis (material, wages, overhead, production, and inventory variances) and highlight key cost drivers with actionable insights.
- Support month-end closing activities, including cost settlements, inventory accounting, and reconciliation of cost-related accounts.
Inventory Valuation & Reporting
- Manage and validate inventory valuation from SAP for all material categories: Raw Materials (RM), Packaging Materials (PM), Semi-Finished Goods (SFG), Finished Goods (FG), and Work-in-Progress (WIP).
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of inventory and cost data for management and statutory purposes.
- Coordinate with Supply Chain, Production, and Stores teams to resolve inventory and costing discrepancies.
MIS & Financial Reporting
- Prepare operational MIS reports, highlighting deviations against budget with detailed root-cause analysis.
- Perform detailed reconciliation between MIS profitability and financial profitability, ensuring item-wise accuracy.
- Generate and analyze production output reports as part of weekly and month-end performance reporting, supporting operational and management reviews.
- Coordinate and complete monthly FI period closure, including validation of intercompany balances, accruals, provisions, and ledger integrity.
These are the main functions of the role; however, employees may be required to carry out other, ad hoc duties, as may be reasonably required. There will also be an expectation of UK travel.
Relevant Professional / Educational Background, Skills & Experience:
- CA/CMA qualified with a strong academic profile
- Minimum 3 to 5 years post qualification experience in a multinational manufacturing company (preferably pharmaceutical or FMCG industry)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong cultural awareness ensuring an ability to work with global colleagues
- Strong administration, attention detail, technical advances in IT and data management.
- Passionate dynamic manager with a strong presence with the ability to inspire staff, deliver to deadlines and manage expectations with confidence.
- Able to handle multiple priorities and critical decision making within tight time constraints
- Flexible and thrive in fast paced, changing environment
