Who we are looking for
State Street Markets, Business Optimization team, provides innovative transformation solutions built using no code or low code engineering tools. We are seeking a Product Owner to lead and support the rollout of strategic Operational Efficiency tools across the organization. This role will focus on delivering and managing solutions (either internal built or vendor) that improve process automation, exception management, and business insights.
The ideal candidate is an experienced and outcome-driven product leader with a passion for simplifying operations, reducing risk, and driving innovation. You will act as the key interface between business users and technology teams—defining product vision, prioritizing features, and ensuring successful adoption across business lines.

What you will be responsible for
As Operation Efficiency Product Owner, Vice President you will
- Define and own the product vision and roadmap for operational tools
- Gather and prioritize business requirements, translate them into clear user stories, and maintain the product backlog.
- Collaborate with global and local stakeholders in operations, risk, and technology to deliver high-impact, user-friendly solutions.
- Ensure platform configurations and features align with business needs, operational controls, and regulatory requirements.
- Lead and support agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog grooming, and product demos.
- Drive user engagement, onboarding, and training to ensure adoption and continuous improvement.
- Track KPIs and user feedback to guide future enhancements and measure success.
- Coordinate with tech teams on data integration, platform scalability, and support models.
- Advocate for the product within the organization and help build a community of practice around efficiency tools.
What we value
These skills will help you succeed in this role
- 14+ years of experience in product management, business transformation, or operations within financial services.
- Strong working knowledge of low-code/no-code platforms like Xceptor, Qlik Sense, Power BI, or similar.
- Experience delivering digital solutions across cross-functional teams in large organizations.
- Solid understanding of operational workflows, exception handling, reconciliations, and risk controls.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills and ability to influence across business and technology teams.
- Experience working in Agile delivery models, with hands-on backlog and sprint management.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- A passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Education & Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Technology, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or equivalent Agile/Product certification a plus.
- Familiarity with enterprise implementation of platforms such as Xceptor, Qlik, or Alteryx.
- Experience with post-trade operations, exception reporting, or regulatory processes is a plus.
- Previous involvement in platform rollouts or digital transformation programs is highly desirable.
