Openstack Engineer - Linux

Job Summary:

We seek an experienced Linux Administrator with deep expertise in Red Hat technologies, OpenStack, and OpenShift to manage, optimize, and secure enterprise Linux environments. The ideal candidate will ensure high availability of cloud-native infrastructure, automate deployments, and support telecom-grade operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems, including patching, kernel tuning, and performance optimization.

Deploy and manage OpenStack private clouds or OpenShift Kubernetes clusters for containerized workloads, ensuring scalability and fault tolerance.

Automate system administration tasks using Ansible, Puppet, or Shell/Python scripting for CI/CD pipelines.

Monitor infrastructure health with tools like Prometheus, Nagios, or ELK stack; troubleshoot issues in high-traffic ISP/telecom environments.

Implement security best practices, including SELinux, firewalls (firewalld/iptables), and compliance with ISO 27001 standards.

Collaborate with DevOps teams on hybrid cloud migrations and disaster recovery planning.

Perform capacity planning, backups, and upgrades for production servers supporting VoIP, data centers, and network services.
