Openshift L4 Engineer

Role: OpenShift, Kubernetes, CI/CD

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as a subject matter expert for OpenShift Container Platform architecture, components, and best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex L4 incidents related to OpenShift clusters, including networking, storage, authentication, and application deployments.
• Perform advanced cluster diagnostics, performance tuning, and capacity management.
• Design and implement automation for OpenShift operations, upgrades, and maintenance.
• Collaborate with application development teams to optimize containerized workloads and troubleshoot application-level issues on OpenShift.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and support staff.

Contribute to the evolution and roadmap of the OpenShift platform

Required Qualifications:

• Experience: 6+ years of experience in container orchestration, with at least 3-4 years dedicated to Red Hat OpenShift in an enterprise setting.
• Technical Skills: Deep expertise in OpenShift (OCP) administration, networking (SDN, OVN-Kubernetes), storage (OpenShift Container Storage/Ceph, persistent volumes), and authentication (LDAP, OpenID Connect). Strong knowledge of Kubernetes fundamentals, Docker, and Linux. Scripting (Bash, Python) and automation (Ansible) skills.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related engineering field, or equivalent practical experience. Red Hat certifications (e.g., RHCE, Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration) highly preferred.
