Job title: Contracts and Procurement Manager Oil & Gas (Upstream)

Work Location: Chennai

Reports to: CTO

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Managing the procurement process for goods and services essential for upstream operations in the Oil & Gas sector.
• Ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials and services required for activities such as Drilling/Workover campaigns, Offshore Platform Maintenance, and Marine operations involving upkeep of Floating Storage and Offloading Vessels
• Overseeing the entire lifecycle of contracts, from initiation to closure.
• Negotiating contract terms and conditions with suppliers and contractors to ensure favorable terms and mitigate risks.
• Monitoring contract performance and ensuring adherence to contractual obligations by all parties.
• Developing and implementing procurement strategies aligned with project objectives and corporate goals.
• Conducting market analysis to identify potential suppliers and optimize procurement processes.
• Collaborating with internal stakeholders to understand project requirements and ensure procurement plans meet operational needs.
• Managing procurement budgets and ensuring cost-effective sourcing of goods and services.

Education and Work Experience Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in engineering, Supply Chain Management or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in contracts and procurement management in the Oil & Gas upstream sector.
• Strong understanding of contractual terms and conditions, as well as procurement best practices.
• Proven negotiation skills and ability to build effective relationships with suppliers and contractors.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
