About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Micro Focus / OpenText SMAX Consultant to lead the implementation, customization, and optimization of SMAX ITSM & ITAM solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in SMAX configuration, integrations, and ITSM best practices.

Key Responsibilities Implementation & Configuration

• Configure and deploy SMAX ITSM and IT Asset Management modules
• Customize workflows, service catalogs, forms, and UI
• Manage multi-tenant architecture and system performance

Solution Design

• Gather business requirements from stakeholders
• Design SMAX solutions aligned with ITSM best practices
• Create technical documentation (process flows, architecture, configs)

Integration & Automation

• Integrate SMAX with:
• Active Directory
• Monitoring tools
• Third-party enterprise systems
• Implement automation using SMAX codeless tools and scripting where needed

Testing & Support

• Conduct system testing & support UAT
• Provide post-implementation support and issue resolution

Training & Documentation

• Train administrators and end users
• Prepare user guides and best-practice documentation

Required Skills

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in Micro Focus / OpenText SMAX
• Strong knowledge of ITSM processes & ITIL framework
• Experience configuring:
• Workflows
• Service Catalog
• Forms & UI
• Expertise in system integrations & data migration
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Good communication & stakeholder handling skills

Good to Have

• SMAX Administrator Certification
• ITIL Certification
• Experience in enterprise ITSM transformation projects
