OCI - Admin cum Architect

Location: Onsite at Pune and Mumbai, Employment initially will be on Oracle partners payroll

Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced OCI Admin cum Architect responsible for designing, implementing, and managing Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environments supporting production and disaster recovery workloads. The role requires strong expertise in OCI architecture, cloud networking, landing zone design, IAM governance, and infrastructure operations.

The candidate will work closely with infrastructure, application, and security teams to ensure secure, scalable, and highly available cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

OCI Architecture & Governance

- Design and implement OCI cloud architecture aligned with enterprise standards.

- Create and manage OCI Landing Zones, including compartment structure, governance policies, and security guardrails.

- Architect Production and Disaster Recovery (DR) environments.

OCI Infrastructure Management

- Provision and manage OCI services including Compute (VM Instances), Kubernetes (OKE), Load Balancers, Object Storage, Block Storage, and File Storage.

- Manage capacity, monitoring, and performance optimization.

OCI Networking

- Design and administer OCI networking components including Virtual Cloud Networks (VCN), subnets, route tables, and gateways.

- Implement VPN / FastConnect connectivity for hybrid environments.

- Ensure secure connectivity between on-premise infrastructure and OCI.

Identity & Security

- Manage OCI IAM policies, roles, and access governance.

- Implement security controls using Network Security Groups (NSG), Security Lists, and other OCI security capabilities.

Production Support

- Provide onsite OCI support during business hours (8x5).

- Support Production and Disaster Recovery environments.

- Manage incident and problem tickets (up to 100 tickets as per scope).

- Provide reactive troubleshooting and configuration support.

- Support Month-End and Year-End peak workload periods.

- Assist in Sev1 incident management and identification of critical issues in OCI.

Required Skills

- Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

- Experience with OCI networking, IAM, and security administration.

- Expertise in OCI landing zone creation and governance.

- Experience managing VMs, Kubernetes (OKE), Load Balancers, and cloud storage services.

- Strong troubleshooting skills in cloud infrastructure environments.

- Strong hands-on experience on Linux.

- Strong hands-on experience on IaaC like TERRAFORM

Preferred Certifications

- OCI Architect Associate or OCI Architect Professional.

• AWS Architect Associate or Professional

- Kubernetes certification is a plus.
