We are representing a premier, state-of-the-art Neuro Rehabilitation Centre located in the prime healthcare hub of Gachibowli, Hyderabad. Dedicated to providing advanced, multidisciplinary care, the center focuses on maximizing functional independence and improving the quality of life for patients recovering from complex neurological conditions.
Position Summary
We are urgently seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our specialized neuro-rehab team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and developing targeted therapeutic interventions for patients suffering from stroke, traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, Parkinsons disease, multiple sclerosis, and other neurological disorders.
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Assessment: Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical, cognitive, perceptual, and psychosocial abilities using standardized neuro-assessment tools.
- Treatment Planning: Design and implement evidence-based, individualized care plans aimed at restoring Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), fine motor skills, and functional mobility.
- Therapeutic Intervention: Utilize advanced neuro-rehabilitation techniques (such as Bobath/NDT, Brunnstrom, PNF, or Sensory Integration) to facilitate motor recovery and neuroplasticity.
- Cognitive & Perceptual Retraining: Develop targeted strategies to address deficits in memory, attention, executive functioning, and visual-spatial processing.
- Assistive Technology: Recommend, prescribe, and train patients in the use of adaptive equipment, orthotics, and environmental modifications to enhance independence.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with neurologists, physiotherapists, speech-language pathologists, and nursing staff to ensure cohesive and holistic patient care.
- Patient & Family Education: Educate caregivers and family members on safe transfer techniques, home exercise programs, and long-term management strategies.
Candidate Profile
- Education: BOTH or MOTH from a recognized institution, with a strict academic or clinical focus on Neurology.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience dealing specifically with adult and/or pediatric neurological issues in a clinical or rehab setting.
- Skills: Strong clinical reasoning, empathy, patience, and excellent communication skills. Ability to handle complex cases and adapt treatments to fluctuating patient conditions.
- Availability: As this is an urgent requirement, candidates who can join immediately or have a short notice period will be given high preference.
