NSX-T Engineer – VMware Network Virtualization (Need Immediate Joiner)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced NSX-T Engineer with 5+ years of hands-on expertise in VMware network virtualization and security. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and troubleshooting NSX-T environments, ensuring secure, scalable, and highly resilient network architectures across multi-cloud and hybrid infrastructures.

Mandatory Skills (Non-Negotiable)

Candidates must have strong hands-on experience in:

• PowerCLI
• Ansible (Automation & Configuration Management)
• Tier-0 / Tier-1 Routing (NSX-T)
• Load Balancing (L4/L7 concepts within NSX-T)
• NAT (Source & Destination NAT)
• NSX-T Edge Services (VPN, Gateway Firewall, Routing Services)

Key Responsibilities

1. Design & Architecture

• Architect NSX-T solutions for:
• Micro-segmentation
• Distributed firewalling
• Advanced networking use cases
• Integrate NSX-T with:
• VMware vSphere & vCenter
• Hybrid cloud platforms (Azure / AWS / GCP)
• Design high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) strategies

2. Implementation & Operations

• Deploy and configure NSX-T components:
• NSX Manager
• Edge Nodes
• Transport Zones
• Configure:
• Logical switches & overlay networks
• Tier-0 / Tier-1 gateways
• Underlay & overlay networking
• Implement:
• Distributed firewall rules
• Security groups & policies
• Service insertion (IDS/IPS, third-party integrations)

3. Troubleshooting & Optimization

• Diagnose complex network issues using:
• NSX-T Traceflow
• Port Mirroring
• CLI & API-based tools
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and resolution
• Optimize NSX-T performance, scalability, and reliability
• Collaborate with infrastructure and security teams for incident resolution

4. Automation & Integration

• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using:
• Ansible
• PowerCLI
• Terraform (preferred)
• Integrate NSX-T with:
• CI/CD pipelines
• Monitoring & logging tools
• Drive automation for deployment, configuration, and operations

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in VMware networking (NSX-T preferred)
• Strong knowledge of:
• Virtual networking concepts (overlay/underlay)
• Routing protocols (BGP, static routing)
• Network security & segmentation
• Hands-on experience with:
• VMware vSphere & vCenter
• NSX-T Data Center
• Experience working in enterprise or cloud environments

Preferred Skills

• Experience with multi-cloud networking (Azure / AWS / GCP)
• Knowledge of Kubernetes networking / NSX-T with containers (Tanzu)
• Familiarity with Zero Trust security architecture
• Scripting knowledge (Python / Shell)
