Node.js Backend Developer

Job Summary

EFICYENT islooking for an experienced Node.js Backend Developer with 2+ years of hands-on experience to work on a high-performance fintech project. The ideal candidate must be skilled in Node.js, Express.js/NestJS, SQL databases, and AWS, with a strong ability to build secure, scalable backend systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop andmaintainRESTful APIsand backend services using Node.js.
• Work extensively withMySQL/PostgreSQLfor schema design, indexing, and query optimization.
• Build and integrate backend logic for web and mobile applications in thefintech domain.
• Ensuresecurity, data integrity, compliance, and high system availability.
• Write clean, reusable, and testable code following best practices.
• Integrate third-party services, payment systems, and internal microservices.
• Implement robust authentication & authorization (JWT, OAuth).
• Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and CI/CD deployment.
• Work closely with frontend, mobile, product, and DevOps teams in anonsiteenvironment.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional experience with Node.js.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with AWS(Lambda, EC2, S3, RDS, etc.).
• StrongproficiencyinJavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience withExpress.js orNestJSframeworks.
• Strong SQL fundamentals withMySQL/PostgreSQL(queries, indexing, stored procedures).
• Good understanding ofREST API architecture, error handling, and structured logging.
• Familiarity withGit, Docker, and CI/CD practices.
• Knowledge of asynchronous programming, event-driven architecture, and microservices.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience.

• Preferred Qualifications
• Experience withRedis, RabbitMQ, or Kafka.
• Exposure tofintech systems, payment gateways, or transaction-heavy applications.
• Experience withunit testing frameworks(Jest, Mocha, Chai).
• Experience working inAgile/Scrumteams.
