Job Title: Modular Kitchen & Interior Designer

Department: Design / Brand Experience

Reporting To: Head Design / Brand / Retail Experience

Role Overview

The Modular Kitchen & Interior Designer will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and executing kitchen concepts and showroom experiences that align with the brands vision. This role blends design thinking, prototyping, visual merchandising, and retail ambience planning, with a strong focus on creating standardized yet aspirational experiences across all showrooms.

The designer will play a key role in translating ideas into physical and visual prototypes, setting design and ambience standards, and ensuring consistency in customer experience across locations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Kitchen Concept Design & Prototyping

• Develop innovative modular kitchen concepts based on brand philosophy, market trends, and customer preferences
• Create design concepts, mood boards, layouts, and material palettes for kitchens
• Prototype kitchen units, modules, finishes, and accessories in coordination with production and technical teams
• Translate concepts into practical, executable designs

2. Visual Merchandising & Showroom Design

• Plan and execute visual merchandising strategies for kitchens and display areas
• Design showroom layouts that enhance walk-in experience and product storytelling
• Ensure optimal placement of kitchens, props, lighting, and graphics to drive customer engagement

3. Showroom Ambience & Experience

• Define and maintain the overall ambience of showrooms including colors, lighting, materials, textures, music, and dcor
• Ensure the showroom environment reflects a premium, cohesive, and brand-aligned experience
• Regularly review and improve showroom aesthetics to keep them contemporary and aspirational

4. Standardization Across Showrooms

• Develop and document design, visual merchandising, and ambience standards for all showrooms
• Create brand and showroom guidelines/manuals for consistent execution across locations
• Coordinate with regional teams to ensure standards are implemented and maintained
• Conduct periodic audits and provide improvement recommendations

5. Cross-functional Collaboration

• Work closely with sales, marketing, production, and project teams
• Support new showroom launches, revamps, and exhibitions
• Assist marketing team with design inputs for campaigns, presentations, and launches

Skills & Competencies

• Strong conceptual and creative thinking skills
• Hands-on experience in prototyping and spatial design
• Good understanding of modular kitchen design, materials, finishes, and ergonomics
• Strong sense of visual aesthetics, detailing, and spatial harmony
• Ability to balance creativity with practicality and standardization
• Good communication and coordination skills

Software & Tools

• AutoCAD / SketchUp / 3Ds Max or equivalent
• Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
• MS PowerPoint / Google Slides for concept presentations

Qualification & Experience

• Degree/Diploma in Interior Design, Product Design, Industrial Design, or related field
• 37 years of experience in modular kitchen design, interior design, retail design, or visual merchandising
• Experience in modular kitchens, furniture, interiors, or retail showrooms preferred
