New Product Development Specialist

The Role

This is a heavy-skill role that combines Deep Market Research, Product Engineering, and Industrial Design. You will sit at the intersection of "What is trending?" and "What is feasible on our shop floor?"

Key Responsibilities

1. Market Intelligence & Opportunity Mapping

• Conduct rigorous research into global medical device trends, identifying gaps in the market and high-growth niches.
• Analyze competitor portfolios and patent landscapes to ensure Lars Medicare stays ahead of the curve.

2. Technical Feasibility & Asset Optimization

• Deep-dive into our current manufacturing capabilities (machinery, molding, extrusion, assembly).
• Propose new product lines that can be built using our existing infrastructure or suggest strategic investments in new technology that offer high ROI.

3. Product Engineering & Design

• Lead the end-to-end product design process, from initial CAD concepts to functional prototypes.
• Ensure all designs meet international medical standards (ISO 13485, CE, etc.) and are optimized for mass production.

4. Commercial Roadmapping

• Present "Business Cases" for new products to the Managing Director, including cost-to-build, market entry strategy, and projected growth.
• Collaborate with Production and Quality teams to move products from the "Idea" phase to the "Plant" floor.

Who You Are

• Education: Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Product Design. An MBA or Masters in Design Strategy is a huge plus.
• Industry Expert: 812 years of experience specifically in Medical Device R&D or Product Development.
• The "Generalist" Engineer: You understand medical-grade polymers, injection molding, sterilization constraints, and global regulatory requirements.
• Market Knowledge: You have a proven track record of launching products that actually sold, not just "cool designs."
• Software Mastery: Expert proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar 3D modeling software.
