Role Overview:

The NPD Executive will support the development and sourcing of innovative baby care products across key categories. This role is ideal for fresh graduates or early-career professionals from product design, industrial design, or NIFT-type institutes who are keen to learn hands-on product development and work closely with international vendors (including China).

The role will act as a bridge between the India team and overseas suppliers, supporting product ideation, design coordination, sampling, and execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Market Research & Trend Support

Assist in researching global and Indian baby care trends, materials, colors, and product innovations.

Study competitor products and help identify new product ideas and improvements.

Support preparation of trend boards, references, and concept decks.

Product Development Support

Assist in the product development lifecyclefrom concept sketches to samples and finalization.

Support creation of basic product briefs, specifications, and design inputs.

Coordinate with design, quality, and internal teams to ensure product intent is maintained.

Participate in sample reviews and suggest improvements under guidance.

Vendor & Sourcing Coordination

Support communication with international vendors (especially China) for sampling, costing, and timelines.

Track samples, revisions, and approvals in coordination with seniors.

Assist in maintaining vendor data, product documents, and sourcing trackers.

Quality, Compliance & Documentation

Help ensure product documentation is maintained for quality and compliance checks.

Support coordination with QA teams for testing, certifications, and approvals.

Assist in maintaining records for materials, finishes, and safety requirements.

Cross-functional Collaboration

Work closely with design, marketing, sourcing, and operations teams.

Share timely updates on product progress, samples, and timelines.

Learn and adapt to internal processes while contributing creatively.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelors degree in Product Design / Industrial Design / Fashion & Lifestyle Accessories / NIFT or similar institutes.

Freshers or candidates with 02 years of experience in product development, design studios, or sourcing roles.

Basic understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and design principles.

Strong interest in baby care, consumer products, and design-led innovation.

Good communication skills and willingness to work with international teams.

Organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn end-to-end product development.
