NEW PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT (NPD) ENGINEER

Company Description:

Established in 2009, Revata Engineering is a well-recognized manufacturer and supplier of equipment for the Oil & Gas industry. The companys head office and manufacturing facility are located in M.I.D.C., Bhosari, Pune.

Role Description:

This is a full-time, on-site role for a New Product Development (NPD) Engineer. We are looking for a proactive and hands-on engineer who can take ownership of product development from concept to production. The role requires close coordination with customers, tooling, production, purchase and quality teams to convert application requirements into reliable, manufacturable products.

Candidates with prior experience in rubber molded parts, elastomer components, polymer products, industrial seals or similar engineered manufacturing environments will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

Review customer drawings, specifications and samples to assess feasibility and manufacturability.

Develop new products through design review, tooling inputs, trials, validation and production release.

Prepare engineering drawings, BOMs, process sheets and development documentation.

Coordinate with tool room, production, quality and suppliers for molds, inserts, fixtures and bought-out items.

Support material selection for elastomers and polymers based on operating conditions such as pressure, temperature and wear.

Plan and monitor trials, sample submissions and validation activities to meet development timelines.

Resolve development issues and ensure smooth handover to production.

Participate in technical discussions with customers and support value engineering initiatives.

Preferred Background / Skillset:

Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering, with experience in product development and product design

Previous experience in manufacturing or elastomer-based product development is a plus

Proficiency in Research and Development (R&D) and applying engineering principles to create innovative solutions

Excellent communication skills for collaboration with diverse teams and stakeholders

Ability to analyze technical problems and provide effective solutions

Understanding of industry standards and quality control processes

Ability to work with urgency and manage multiple product developments simultaneously.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Rubber, Polymer, Production or related Engineering field.

36 years of experience in New Product Development or Product Engineering in a manufacturing environment.

Experience in rubber molded parts, elastomer products, polymer components or similar industrial products preferred.

Good understanding of engineering drawings, tolerances and basic GD&T.

Exposure to tooling, sample trials and production handover processes.

Working knowledge of CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA or similar.

Strong analytical, coordination and problem-solving skills.

Office Timings: Monday - Saturday (8:30 AM to 5:30 PM)

Remuneration: CTC will be as per industry standard.
