Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced NPD Engineer to lead new product development initiatives, pilot trials, and commercial scale-up activities at our chemical manufacturing plant. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical expertise in process development and plant operations, with a focus on safety, quality, and cost optimization.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Hands-on experience in chemical plant NPD, scale-up, process development, or production engineering
• Proven experience in pilot-plant trials and commercial-scale implementation of chemical processes
• Strong understanding of process parameters, mass & energy balances, reactor operations, and heat/mass transfer fundamentals
• Good knowledge of QA/QC methods and analytical techniques used in chemical manufacturing
• Experience in HAZOP, FMEA, process safety practices, and statutory compliance
• Excellent documentation skills (trial reports, SOPs, batch records)
• Strong problem-solving, project management, and communication abilities
• ERP exposure and proficiency in MS Office

Key Responsibilities

• Lead new product development from lab scale to commercial production
• Plan and execute pilot trials; validate and optimize process parameters
• Improve production processes for yield, efficiency, and cost effectiveness
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation and SOPs
• Coordinate with Production, QA/QC, Maintenance, and Procurement teams
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
• Troubleshoot process challenges during scale-up and commercial production
