New Product Development Engineer and Process Planner

Key Responsibilities

• Understand machining processes such as turning, milling, drilling, and grinding to define correct manufacturing sequences.
• Prepare operation-wise process plans, routings, process drawings, and setup drawings.
• Define datums, stock allowance, surface finish requirements, and consider heat treatment and special processes.
• Apply fixture-first thinking and coordinate with tooling/fixture suppliers as required.
• Build quality into the process by identifying critical dimensions and defining in-process and final inspections.
• Use CAD tools for 2D drafting and accurate interpretation of 3D models with proper revision control.
• Incorporate shop-floor feedback, analyze rework, and continuously improve process plans.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, Tooling, and Design teams.
• Support audits, reviews, and customer requirements related to process documentation.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelors Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory).
• Minimum 3 years experience as a Draftsman or Junior Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor and Autodesk Vault (mandatory).
