Job Description
Were seeking a proactive New Business Development Manager with 58 years proven experience in hunting new accounts and selling market-intelligence or data & analytics subscription solutions. You will own the top of funnel prospecting, cold/outbound calling, qualifying leads, running product demonstrations, and closing new subscription contracts through concept- and value-based selling.
Key responsibilities
- Prospect, qualify, and convert new enterprise and mid-market accounts via outbound calling, email sequences, social outreach, and events.
- Generate pipeline targets and consistently achieve monthly/quarterly new ARR quotas.
- Conduct compelling live demos and proof-of-value sessions for a market intelligence platform tailored to buyer needs.
- Use consultative, concept-selling and value-based approaches to align product capabilities to business outcomes and ROI.
- Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers (market research, strategy, competitive intelligence, product, sales leadership).
- Prepare and deliver tailored proposals, pricing, and contract negotiations for subscription deals.
- Collaborate with marketing, product and customer success to refine messaging, demo flows, use cases, and onboarding.
- Track and report pipeline, forecasts, win/loss analysis and market feedback in CRM.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of competitors, industry trends and buyer challenges to shape positioning and sales strategy.
Required qualifications & skills
- 58 years of B2B sales experience with a strong emphasis on new business hunting (cold calling/outbound).
- Direct experience selling market intelligence, data & analytics products, or SaaS subscription research tools.
- Demonstrated experience giving product demonstrations and running POCs for analytics/intelligence platforms.
- Strong understanding of concept selling, value-based selling, and articulating business impact (ROI, cost/benefit).
- Track record of meeting or exceeding quota for subscription/recurring revenue deals.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Comfortable navigating and selling to enterprise buying cycles and multiple stakeholders.
- CRM (e.g., Salesforce) proficiency and disciplined pipeline management.
- Bachelors degree in business, marketing, economics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Preferred
- Experience selling to market research, competitive intelligence, strategy, consulting, or product teams.
- Familiarity with data integration, APIs, or analytics workflows.
- Existing network within target industries should be a plus (e.g., financial services, consulting, Auto, technology).
KPIs / Success metrics
- New ARR / bookings per quarter
- Number of qualified opportunities and pipeline coverage
- Conversion rate from demo/POC to closed-won
- Sales cycle length and average deal size
- Win rate and churn (for initial 612 months)
