Network Team Lead

Role Overview

We are looking for an energetic and dynamic Network Team Lead with 7 plus years of experience in a data center networking domain with 1-3 years of experience in Software Defined Networking(SDN) specifically in a private cloud & virtualization domain.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities in this role will be centered around the following:

1. Architecting, designing, installing, maintaining, and managing the equipment needed to provide Cloud Network Infrastructure including physical and SDN network framework.
2. Ensuring a high level of availability, flexibility, and network performance and ensuring SLA is maintained.
3. Maintaining, auditing, reviewing, and updating infrastructure documentation.
4. Working collaboratively with the client and team members on day-to-day changes, incidents, and requests.
5. Oversee a team of Network Engineers, provide technical expertise and guidance to the team where required. Evaluate the performance of team members on a periodic basis and provide feedback to the team and HR.
6. Proactively monitoring and analyzing key performance and capacity metrics and trends to assess risks, business impact and provide recommendations.
7. Prepare, review and deliver differentiated solution presentations or technical proposals related to cloud network infrastructure.
8. Manage and/or deliver technical validation activities including Proof of Concept.

Requirements

This is an in-depth technical role with 80% technical and 20% managerial capabilities. This role requires proven experience and the ability to provide hands on technical expertise and mentorship with a keen eye on the compliance of business SLAs and goals. Well be evaluating your candidature on the following criteria:

• At least 7 plus years of experience designing, implementing, and maintaining DataCenter networks, L2/L3 technologies, Cisco/Juniper routers, switches and wireless, Cisco/Juniper/Fortigate firewalls, Load balancer etc.
• Strong fundamentals and understanding of the following Data Center network technologies:
• WAN & Routing technologies (Leased lines, GRE VPNs, IPSEC based VPNs, MPLS, BGP,OSPF, VRRP/HSRP, EVPN etc.)
• Security technologies (Firewalls, ACLs, NAT, IPS, IDS, RADIUS, TACACS+, IAS, VPN technologies)
• Switching (VLANs, VXLAN LACP, EtherChannel, 802.3ad, VTP, 802.1q)
• Familiarity with QoS including basic QoS commands and implementations
• Network monitoring Protocols & Tools (SNMP, NetFlow , Zabbix, PRTG etc.)
• Good Knowledge of SDN Technologies, preferably hands-on experience on any one of the SDN provider VMWare NSX, Juniper Contrail/Tungsten, Arista, Cisco etc.
• Advanced troubleshooting skills and the ability to quickly narrow down and resolve problems.
• Highly motivated individual who is a self-starter and can demonstrate effective project management and completion of complex network tasks with little guidance.
• Motivated learner ability to quickly learn new technologies and keep networking skills current with emerging technologies
• Experience in handling a team of minimum 4 people in the above role.
