Job Description:

We are seeking a Network Support Engineer with 6+ years of exp.

Mode: Contract to hire position

NP :0-15 days

Location : Bnagalore

Key Responsibilities:

Provide Technical Network Support to Customers and Product Users

Contribute to the availability of the field systems ensuring product uptime and availability is maintained.
Design, implement, support and maintain LAN, WAN and wireless network infrastructure across corporate and mining site environments
Provide Level 2/3 network support, including fault diagnosis, incident resolution and root cause analysis
Monitor network performance and availability, proactively identifying and resolving issues before operational impact
Perform configuration, upgrades and patching of network devices in line with change management processes
Provide pre-sales technical support by clearly outlining network requirements and assisting customers in understanding system dependencies for Titan/GET Trakka deployments.
Investigate bugs, faults and errors and employ the issue escalation process to see the issue through to final resolution.
Prepare and present reports and technical presentations to technical and nontechnical audiences.

Commissioning/Maintenance of IT/OT Networks & Security Compliance

Administer the IPsec server, including creating, modifying, and removing VPN connections as required.
Perform on board monitoring and verification of CRs Digital products.
Provide Onsite and Remote Training in the use of CRs Digital Products.
Initial System setup and configuration.
Perform QA tests on CR systems prior to deployment.
Support IT/OT integrated networks, ensuring reliable connectivity for operational systems and industrial devices
Work closely with site operations, control room and engineering teams to support production-critical systems
Ensure network designs meet the reliability, latency and resilience requirements of mining operations.
Implement and maintain network security controls, including segmentation, firewalls, access control and VPNs
Support cybersecurity initiatives aligned with organizational and regulatory requirements
Participate in security incident response and vulnerability remediation activities
Ensure compliance with internal standards, policies and relevant industry frameworks.

Contribute to continuous improvement of products and processes

Contribute to network design and delivery for technology refreshes, site expansions and digital transformation projects
Develop and maintain network documentation, standards and operational procedures
Engage with vendors and service providers to deliver network solutions and support services
Identify opportunities to improve network performance, resilience and operational efficiency

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Proven experience in network engineering or network support roles.
Experience supporting enterprise and remote site network environments.
Exposure to Operational Technology or industrial networks.
Experience supporting large-scale wireless or outdoor network deployments.
Familiarity with cloud networking concepts (AWS VPCs/Transit Gateway, Azure VNets/NSGs, peering, private endpoints).
Competence in Linux CLI and basic scripting (Bash or Python) for tooling/automation.Experience in working collaboratively and in a team environment.
Experience communicating Technical Concepts to peers.
Experience with IPsec/IKEv2 VPNs, tunnels, and routing (policybased/routebased).
Structured approach to Problem Solving and Troubleshooting.
Strong knowledge of routing, switching, VLANs, firewalls and VPN technologies
Use of the group's management processes and tools (JIRA, Grafana, PowerBi, In-house Tools etc).
Strong understanding of network security principles.
Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues in high-availability environments.
Firewall administration (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco, or similar).
Packet analysis with Wireshark/tcpdump; ability to conduct targeted captures and interpret results.
Solid grasp of L2L4 networking: VLANs, STP, NAT, QoS, DNS.

Tertiary qualification (Degree, Diploma or Certificate) in Networking & Communications Engineering, or Information Technology.
Good understanding of network monitoring, network security principles, VPNs & Firewalls, Access Controls, automation or scripting tools
