Network Security Administrator

Qualification - Graduate in Information Technology or equivalent. CCNA, Firewall Admin Certification. Certifications in networking (CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent).

Experience - 4+ years of experience in network administration, switching, routing, and firewall management. Strong knowledge of VPN, Wi-Fi systems, and network security best practices.

Hands-on experience on Network and Sophos / Fortinet / Palo Alto Firewall with troubleshooting and performance optimization.

Primary Purpose:

The role is to manage network administration and management, including switching, routing, internet connectivity, site-to-site connections, firewall management, and Wi-Fi management.

The role focuses on maintaining a robust, secure, and efficient network infrastructure, ensuring stability and performance and security. The candidate should have hands-on experience in network management and understanding of firewall and Wi-Fi systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Network Administration (Switching & Routing):

• Manage and configure network switches and routers to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
• Monitor network traffic and address routing issues to maintain a smooth and secure data flow.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity problems and resolve issues quickly to minimize disruptions.

Internet & Site-to-Site Connectivity:

• Oversee internet connectivity, ensuring continuous and secure access for all users.
• Configure and maintain site-to-site VPN connections for seamless communication between different office locations.
• Optimize bandwidth usage and troubleshoot connectivity issues to improve overall network performance.

Firewall Management:

• Administer and manage firewalls to ensure network security and protection against external threats.
• Configure firewall policies, monitor traffic, and implement security protocols to safeguard the network.
• Regularly update firewall configurations and ensure compliance with security best practices.

Wi-Fi Management:

• Manage and maintain Wi-Fi infrastructure to provide secure and reliable wireless connectivity throughout the organization.
• Monitor Wi-Fi performance, troubleshoot connection issues, and ensure network stability.
• Implement security measures, such as encryption and access controls, to protect wireless communication.

Network Planning & Optimization:

• Design and implement network solutions to ensure a reliable and scalable network infrastructure.
• Continuously assess network performance, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.
• Stay updated with the latest networking technologies and recommend upgrades to enhance network capabilities.

Security & Compliance:

• Ensure the network is secure and complies with organizational security policies and industry standards.
• Implement network monitoring tools to detect and prevent potential security breaches.
• Perform regular security audits and apply necessary updates to safeguard the network.

Collaboration & Documentation:

• Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of network systems with servers, cloud, and applications.
• Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, firewall rules, and connectivity setups.
• Provide regular reports on network performance, security issues, and improvement initiatives.
