Job Description Assistant Manager Network Planning
The Assistant Manager Network Planning will support the design, expansion, and optimization of the Battery Swapping Station (BSS) network to ensure efficient coverage, high utilization, and alignment with business objectives. The role will focus on identifying new deployment opportunities, analyzing network performance, and supporting data-driven planning decisions while working closely with cross-functional teams including Business Development, Site Acquisition, Deployment, and Operations.
Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Proposing suitable locations for new Battery Swapping Stations using spatial analysis, demand indicators, and business inputs
Supporting city-level rollout plans aligned with growth targets and operational feasibility
Analyzing performance of existing stations and recommending additions, relocations, or capacity enhancements
Coordinating with Site Acquisition and Deployment teams to track progress of site approvals, installation, and energization
Monitoring utilization trends and identifying actions to improve network performance
Assisting in the development of planning tools, dashboards, and reports for decision support
Supporting scenario analysis for new markets, partners, and vehicle segments
Communicating deployment status, risks, and insights to internal stakeholders and management This is a hands-on role with high visibility and offers the opportunity to work on real-world infrastructure challenges in the fast-growing electric mobility sector.
Key Expectations:
Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
Develop a working understanding of IFSEs business model and operational processes Good spatial awareness supported by GIS tools such as QGIS or ArcGIS
Basic understanding of site selection and infrastructure deployment processes
Ability to track multiple projects and maintain timeline adherence
Prepare structured reports highlighting progress, issues, and recommended actions
Establish reporting mechanisms with field teams to monitor deployed assets
Support efforts to monitor asset utilization and recommend improvements
Continuously learn and apply best practices in network planning and analytics
Key Qualifications:
46 years of professional experience in GIS, infrastructure planning, telecom, energy, logistics, or related fields
Experience in network-based industries such as telecom, mobility, utilities, or fuel retail is preferred
Hands-on experience with spatial analysis tools (QGIS, ArcGIS, or equivalent)
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and presentation tools
Ability to work with data to generate insights and support decision-making
Understanding of EV ecosystem or urban mobility is an advantage
Professional undergraduate degree required; engineering or planning background preferred
Experience with data tools (SQL, Python, BI tools) will be an added advantage.
