Position Overview

The Network Optimization Analyst plays a critical role in enabling plant stability and network agility by leveraging modeling and optimization tools to validate feasibility for blending and volume moves. This role provides actionable insights that help plants maintain production continuity, minimize downtime, and execute strategic shifts efficiently. The analyst partners with manufacturing, supply planning, procurement, and commercialization teams to optimize material flow, reduce total delivered cost, and improve agility. Additionally, the role monitors TEXT alerts and participates in the Triforce process to ensure timely escalation and resolution of network-level material risks.


Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain network optimization models to evaluate sourcing, capacity, and blending feasibility for volume moves.
  • Run scenario analyses to support tariff response, geopolitical risk mitigation, and contingency planning.
  • Partner directly with plant teams to provide modeling insights that enable continuous operations and prevent downtime.
  • Monitor TEXT alerts daily and escalate outages or risks through the Triforce process.
  • Integrate optimization insights into IBP Supply Review and commercialization planning processes
  • Prepare reports and presentations for leadership on optimization opportunities and cost savings.


Secondary Responsibilities

Drive digitization initiatives by advancing modeling automation and embedding network optimization visibility into IBP processes. This role will champion the integration of cutting-edge tools and analytics to transform how optimization insights are delivered. Collaborate with cross-functional teamsincluding manufacturing, planning, procurement, and commercializationto streamline data flows, enhance reporting accuracy, and enable real-time decision-making. By building scalable digital solutions, the analyst helps unlock agility, reduce complexity, and set the foundation for next-generation supply chain optimization.



Required Qualifications


Level of Education and Discipline -

Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Business, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Coursework in data analytics, operations management, or logistics preferred.


Experience - functional/industry/commercial knowledge, business acumen

13 years in supply chain, materials planning, or data analytics. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage large datasets. Exposure to CPG manufacturing or distribution environments and familiarity with IBP or S&OP processes is a plus.


Interpersonal Skills - leadership, interactions, communication, influence

Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, matrixed environment. Clear and concise communication skills for presenting data-driven insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.


Other Skills and HPO Competencies

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data modeling). Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and ability to navigate material master data. Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau for dashboard creation. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in reporting and risk dashboards.



Preferred Qualifications


Level of Education and Discipline-

MBA or advanced degree in Supply Chain, Operations Research, or Business Analytics. Coursework in predictive modeling, optimization, or advanced planning systems is highly desirable.


Certification and/or Licenses-

APICS CPIM or CSCP certification preferred. Additional certifications in Lean Six Sigma or advanced analytics tools are a plus.


Experience - functional/industry/commercial knowledge, business acumen

Familiarity with network optimization tools (e.g., Llamasoft) and scenario planning techniques. Prior experience in CPG manufacturing or distribution networks, leveraging digital tools for modeling and predictive insights.


Interpersonal Skills - leadership, interactions, communication, influence

Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams (planning, procurement, manufacturing). Ability to clearly present data insights in meetings and reports.


Other Skills and HPO Competencies

Proficiency with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) for reporting. Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP preferred). Basic understanding of scenario planning and supply chain risk concepts. Comfort with advanced Excel functions; experience with automation tools or scripting (Python, SQL) is a plus

This role is critical to maintaining plant stability and network agility. By running optimization models and validating blending moves, the analyst ensures plants can keep volume and stay operational. Contributions directly influence sourcing, capacity, and inventory decisions across multiple sites, enabling tariff mitigation, commercialization agility, and cost avoidance opportunities estimated at $10M annually. Through TEXT monitoring and Triforce support, the analyst helps prevent outages and ensures timely resolution of network-level risks.
