Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role :

Firewall changes, review requests/CAB approvals, implementation & audits

Hardware Life Cycle Switch/Router/Firewall/Console Server/OOB replacements

Patching and Firmware updates (Router, switches, firewalls, load balancers)

Wi-Fi existing & new deployments (Corpoarate Wi-Fi, Guest Wi-Fi, captive portal, Wireless Intrusion Prevention/WIPS)

Real-estate projects (M&A, integrations and site closures)

Other project work and new deployments (DPX, Global VDI, SAP S4/Hana, Evolution, plant/press refresh projects, wireless d

deployments, Always-On VPN)

Public Cloud connectivity and security

WAN and Internet circuits and connectivity

DNS / DHCP / NTP / IP Asset Management

Audits and compliance (hundreds of requests per year)

URL Filtering and Threat prevention (IDS/IPS) & IP Intelligence

DDOS mitigation, abuse blocking and Zer day vulnerability blocking

Load Balancing External & Internal

Air Gap (SSL Decryption and payload inspection)

Mobile User VPN (GlobalProtect, Prisma, & ANyConnect)

Business to business tunnels and private links

Tickets, incidents, outages, 24/7 on-call

Network Access Controls (Wired and Wireless)

PCI remediation and new controls as PCI changes
