Network Engineer

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Network Engineer with 24 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in network monitoring, troubleshooting, and operational support of enterprise or service provider networks. This role involves maintaining network performance, availability, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and manage routers, switches, and firewalls using network monitoring tools.
• Analyze alerts and network performance metrics to identify and resolve issues proactively.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network outages or performance degradation .
• Assist with network configuration changes, upgrades, and patch management .
• Maintain accurate documentation of network devices, topologies, and configurations.
• Support incident, problem, and change management processes in coordination with teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and escalate issues when required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 24 years of experience in network operations or engineering.
• Strong knowledge of IP networking, routing (OSPF, BGP), and switching (VLAN, STP) .
• Hands-on experience with network monitoring tools : SolarWinds, Nagios, Zabbix, PRTG, HP OpenView.
• Basic understanding of firewalls, VPNs, and network security principles .
• Experience with Cisco and Juniper routers/switches (multi-vendor exposure is a plus).
• Ability to troubleshoot network performance and connectivity issues.
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, or related field .

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with MPLS, SD-WAN, or cloud networking concepts .
• Networking certifications: CCNA, JNCIA , or equivalent.
• Basic scripting knowledge (Python/Bash) for automation is a plus.
