We are looking for an experienced Network Switching & Routing Engineer with deep expertise in enterprise networking and advanced troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Layer 2 / Layer 3 networking, switching infrastructure, and complex network troubleshooting in large enterprise environments.

This role requires the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve critical network incidents, perform packet-level analysis, and support high-availability network architectures.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot complex Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching issues across enterprise and data center environments.
• Analyze and resolve issues related to STP loops, broadcast storms, MAC flapping, VLAN mismatches, trunking errors, and asymmetric routing.
• Perform packet-level troubleshooting using tools such as Wireshark, SPAN, and ERSPAN.
• Use advanced CLI debugging and monitoring tools to identify root causes of network problems.
• Implement and maintain high-availability network architectures including:
• Switch stacking
• VSS
• vPC
• MLAG
• Redundant core/distribution designs
• Work closely with infrastructure and operations teams to ensure network stability, scalability, and performance.
• Support critical incident troubleshooting and provide timely resolution.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of experience in networking with strong troubleshooting expertise.
• Expert knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking concepts, including:
• VLANs
• STP (RSTP / MST)
• EtherChannel
• ARP
• HSRP / VRRP
• Multicast
• Hands-on experience with enterprise and data center switching platforms such as:
• Cisco Catalyst
• Cisco Meraki
• Juniper switches
• Strong understanding of control-plane vs data-plane networking concepts.
• Experience working with packet capture and network analysis tools.
