Job Title: DTAC Engineer (L2)

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced DTAC Engineer (L2) who will be responsible for executing deployment and activation activities for SD-WAN and LAN devices. The engineer will work closely with customers, internal teams, and ISPs to ensure seamless activation, configuration, and onboarding of network devices.

Key Responsibilities

Deployment & Activation

• Execute deployment and activation tasks as per Lead Engineers design and configuration documents.
• Work directly with customers to activate SD-WAN and LAN devices.
• Follow configuration templates and notes provided by the Lead Engineer.

Configuration Management

• Apply pre-approved configuration templates to network devices.
• Validate device onboarding, configuration, and network connectivity.

Monitoring & Reporting

• Monitor device status during activation activities.
• Identify and report any issues, anomalies, or deviations to the Lead Engineer.

Coordination

• Coordinate with Internet Service Providers (ISPs) for circuit activation.
• Assist in Zero Touch Provisioning (ZTP) and device provisioning including:
• Velo Edge
• Meraki
• Aruba devices

Experience & Technical Skills

Mandatory Experience

• 57 years of hands-on L2-level network engineering experience.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Experience working with VCO (VeloCloud Orchestrator).

Technical Knowledge

Network Control Protocols:

• QoS, PfR, PoE, NTP, DHCP

Management Protocols:

• CDP, FTP, VCMP, SNMP

Security Protocols:

• SSH, HTTPS, AAA, IPSec, TrustSec

Routing Protocols:

• OSPF, EIGRP, BGP

Additional Requirements

• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Ability to work in rotational night shifts (US shift).
• Strong customer-facing and coordination abilities.
