Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer to support and enhance our global data center network infrastructure. The role involves hands-on deployment, upgrades, and operations of access and Top-of-Rack (ToR) switches, with a strong focus on automation and Network-as-Code principles. The engineer will work closely with SiteOps and datacenter remote hands teams to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable network operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Install new Top-of-Rack (ToR) and access switches in newly provisioned data center racks.
• Perform out-of-business-hours upgrades of existing access switches across multiple global data centers.
• Coordinate with SiteOps teams and datacenter remote hands to ensure proper racking, cabling, power connectivity, and readiness of network equipment.
• Build, configure, and administer network devices, services, and components to ensure:
• High performance
• Security
• High availability
• Implement and maintain Network as Code / Infrastructure as Code solutions for configuration and deployment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity, performance, and hardware issues .
• Identify and drive improvements in:
• Runbooks
• Monitoring and alerting
• Technical documentation
• Participate in change management, maintenance windows, and operational reviews.

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
• 46 years of hands-on experience in data center network operations .
• Strong expertise in Juniper routing and switching .
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Juniper and Nvidia switch configuration .
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code / Network as Code methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with Ansible for network automation.
• Working knowledge of Python for scripting and automation.
• Experience with CI/CD and automation tools such as:
• Git
• Jenkins
• Puppet
• Terraform
• Proven troubleshooting skills in large-scale production environments.
