Job Description
My client is hiring for a Network Engineer (13 years experience) to support latency-sensitive trading infrastructure. The role involves working on production trading systems, network performance, and Linux-based infrastructure within a fast-paced financial markets environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and optimize network performance and troubleshoot outages
- Support production trading environments including colo and data center infrastructure
- Administer firewalls and VPNs (Cisco ASA / Palo Alto)
- Provide networking support for Linux-based trading servers
- Work with multicast protocols (PIM, IGMP) and routing technologies
Requirements
- 13 years of networking experience
- CCNA / CCNP (Routing & Switching) preferred
- Strong knowledge of Routing & Switching, VPNs, and Firewalls
- Experience with Linux systems and basic Shell/Python scripting
- Exposure to AWS and monitoring tools is a plus
- Ability to work in high-pressure production environments
