Network Automation level 3

Job Description :

Key Responsibilities:

• Work on development and/or validation of networking features on NX-OS platform.
• Design, implement, troubleshoot, and enhance Layer 2 and Layer 3 network protocols.
• Hands-on experience with network protocols including:
• OSPF, BGP, LACP, vPC, VRRP, IGMP, SVI, TCP / UDP
• Validate and test L2/L3 switching features and routing protocols.
• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and automation scripts.
• Perform feature, regression, scalability, and performance testing.
• Automate test cases using Python.
• Utilize automation frameworks such as pyATS (preferred).
• Analyze packet captures and debug protocol-level issues.
• Collaborate with development teams to identify and resolve defects.
• Participate in requirement analysis, feature reviews, and design discussions.

Required Skills:

• Strong experience with NX-OS platform.
• Solid understanding of Layer 2 & Layer 3 networking concepts.
• Hands-on experience with routing and switching protocols (OSPF, BGP, LACP, vPC, VRRP, IGMP, etc.).
• Experience in validation of L2/L3 switches.
• Automation experience using Python.
• Good understanding of TCP/IP stack.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with pyATS automation framework.
• Exposure to protocol development (not just configuration/support).
• Experience with packet analysis tools (Wireshark, tcpdump).
• Familiarity with CI/CD for network testing.
