Role Summary

As a Network Engineer , you will be responsible for designing, implementing, configuring, managing, and troubleshooting network infrastructure, including switches, wireless LAN controllers (WLCs), firewalls, and related networking and security technologies. The role focuses on ensuring high availability, reliability, performance, and security of network environments while adhering to organizational standards and client SLAs.

You will work under general supervision for routine activities and receive detailed guidance for new or complex assignments. This position reports to the Team Lead or Supervisor and follows a hybrid work model based in Noida, India.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform 24x7 monitoring of network devices such as switches, firewalls, and WLCs.
• Monitor network performance and availability to ensure optimal uptime and reliability.
• Diagnose and resolve network incidents independently and in collaboration with global teams to minimize service disruptions.
• Configure, manage, and maintain network equipment including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
• Provide technical support to end users for network-related issues and connectivity problems.
• Work with change management tools and processes to maintain and meet client SLAs.
• Create, update, and maintain detailed network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute network upgrades, enhancements, and projects.
• Analyze network performance trends and generate reports to proactively identify and mitigate risks.
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers for issue resolution and service optimization.

Technical Skills & Knowledge

• Strong understanding of IP addressing, subnetting, and network protocols .
• Ability to troubleshoot basic to intermediate network connectivity issues.
• Knowledge of Switching Technologies :
• VLAN, VTP, DTP, EtherChannel
• SPAN, RSPAN
• STP
• Knowledge of Routing Technologies :
• Static Routing
• Dynamic Routing protocols such as RIP, EIGRP, and OSPF
• Basic understanding of Network Security concepts .
• Basic knowledge of Windows Server , VMware , and vCenter (preferred).

Required Qualifications (The Essentials)

• Bachelors degree in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Windows and VMware Administrator or in a related infrastructure role.

Preferred Qualifications (The Preferred)

• Experience with advanced network monitoring and diagnostic tools .
• Exposure to automation and scripting for network configuration and management.
• Knowledge of cloud networking and integration with on-premises infrastructure.
• Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP , or equivalent.
• Experience working in managed services or large enterprise environments.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and service management frameworks.
