NetSuite Technical Consultant – SuiteScript & RESTlets

Key Responsibilities

Development & Customization :

• Design, develop, and maintain SuiteScript 1.0 & 2.x scripts, including:
• User Event Scripts
• Client Scripts
• Scheduled Scripts
• Map/Reduce
• Suitelets
• RESTlets
• Build and maintain custom records, fields, forms, and workflows.
• Develop robust integrations using SuiteTalk (SOAP/REST), RESTlets, and external APIs.

Platform Enhancements & Optimization :

• Implement automation and enhancements to optimize NetSuite business workflows.
• Conduct code reviews, enforce coding best practices, and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
• Analyze existing system architecture and recommend improvements or redesigns.

Testing & Deployment :

• Perform unit testing, SIT, and support UAT within sandbox environments.
• Ensure smooth release management by validating upgrades, patches, and system enhancements before production deployment.

Support & Collaboration :

• Troubleshoot and resolve NetSuiterelated issues, script errors, and integration failures.
• Work closely with consultants, administrators, business analysts, and project managers across the SDLC.
• Assist in creating dashboards, saved searches, KPIs, reports, and analytics for business users.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

Technical Skills :

• Strong handson experience with NetSuite ERP development and backend customizations.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, SuiteScript (1.0/2.x), and understanding of SQL/database fundamentals.
• Experience building forms, custom fields, workflows, custom records, and scripted processes.
• Ability to create and optimize saved searches, formulas, dashboards, reports, and KPIs.
• Understanding of NetSuite modules such as Finance, Manufacturing, Inventory, or Warehouse Management.

Soft Skills :

• Strong analytical and problemsolving capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate crossfunctionally.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
