  1. ROLE PURPOSE & OBJECTIVE

National Manager: Sales & Acquisition is responsible for overseeing and driving the sales strategy and business acquisition efforts across. This role involves managing a high-performing sales team, developing sales plans, expanding the customer base, and ensuring the alignment of sales efforts with the company’s goals. The individual will also work closely with senior leadership to foster relationships with key clients and stakeholders.

  • Will own the total acquisition business incremental budget pan India.

  • Team Size – 1,500

  • Business Value – 5,500 crores

  • Business Numbers – 2 Lac accounts

  • % of Maxima accounts – 60 Lac accounts


  • Interact & collaborate with various stakeholders of the Bank.

  • Cross sell POS, QR, Payment Gateway, CMS, Forex, Net Banking, OD, Assets etc. which helps in value build up.

  • Ensure product mix for sale of high value variants & quality of acquisition.

  • Hiring of direct reportees as per assigned manpower budget.



  1. KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE

  1. Sales Strategy Development:

  • Develop and implement national sales strategies that align with business objectives.

  • Lead the sales forecasting and budgeting process, ensuring targets are met or exceeded.

  • Identify key market trends and opportunities for business growth.

  • Oversee and evaluate the performance of regional sales teams.

  • To achieve the CASA & TD budgets allocated to the acquisition channel.

  1. Team Leadership and Management:

  • Manage, mentor, and develop the acquisition sales team to achieve top-tier performance.

  • Provide training, coaching, and motivation to regional sales leaders and teams.

  • Monitor team performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.

  • Foster a high-performance culture that focuses on customer satisfaction and results.

  1. Business Acquisition:

  • Drive acquisition strategies to expand the customer base and increase market share.

  • Lead the identification and pursuit of new business opportunities and untapped markets.

  • Manage the sales pipeline and ensure timely follow-up and conversion of leads into customers.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients.


  1. Collaboration and Reporting:

  • Work closely with marketing, product, and operations teams to ensure smooth execution of sales strategies.

  • Provide regular reports on sales performance, opportunities, and challenges to the leadership team.

  • Analyze sales data to track progress, forecast future performance, and adjust strategies as needed.


  1. Customer

  • Maintain service quality index at the desired level.

  • Manage escalations in terms of claim settlement and operational bottleneck.

  • Track business portfolio’s quality through analysis and suggest corrective measures.

  • Formulate and implement grievance management mechanism along with the internal stakeholders.


  1. Learning & Performance

  • Up to date knowledge of the industry products and players

  • Attend leadership & business trainings

  • Complete certifications to enhance the technical knowledge 

  • Identify training needs to support the business and provide the training with good resources

  • Ensure goal-setting, midyear review and annual appraisal process happens within specified timelines for self and reportees

  • Pursue the Executive Programs and Relevant Courses to the team and for self

  • Provide Growth opportunities to team members to cross learning and mentoring talent



  1. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS OF KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in business administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).



Experience Range (Years and Core Experience Type)

  • Proven experience in sales management of over 15-20 years, business development, and team leadership, preferably in a national or regional capacity.
