Job Description
| Database Administration – Install, configure, and manage MySQL instances across production, staging, and development environments. • Backup & Recovery – Implement and monitor mysqldump, Percona XtraBackup, and binary log backups for disaster recovery. • Performance Tuning & Optimization – Analyze slow queries using EXPLAIN, Performance Schema, and Query Profiling; optimize indexes and configurations. • High Availability (HA) & Replication – Configure and manage Master-Slave, Master-Master, Group Replication. • Security & Compliance – Enforce user access controls, SSL encryption, auditing, and GDPR compliance. • Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution – Identify and resolve deadlocks, replication lag, MySQL crashes, and performance bottlenecks. • Automation & Scripting – Develop scripts for automation of backup, monitoring, and maintenance tasks. • Database Design & Capacity Planning – Support schema design, data partitioning, and resource scaling based on workload patterns. • Patch Management & Version Upgrades – Apply MySQL patches, version upgrades, and security fixes with minimal downtime. • Cloud & Hybrid Database Management – Administer MySQL databases in all environments.
