Mtrls Analyst I

Works with suppliers, production, materials and inventory management to ensure the appropriate materials are available to meet the production schedule. Coordinates with inventory to time the shipment of specific materials in line with production schedules and inventory goals. Works with suppliers to procure the appropriate materials for production. May assist in the production scheduling process. University degree and 1 year suggested minimum experience, or 2 year degree and 6 years suggested minimum experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Essential Responsibilities

• Run MRP report and raise Purchase Orders.
• Follow-up on purchase orders (Confirmations, commits, expedite)
• Monitor, track and report on supplier compliance to delivery due dates.
• Update dates status in ERP (JDE/SAP).
• Liaison with Logistics, Customer service, Manufacturing, Production Schedulers, Quality and Engineering to assure that materials are on site in a timely manner.
• Publish PO/Supply/Inventory reports.
• Invoice quries, Supplier will put on supply hold for past due payment, revenue risk.

• Improve SOP’s
• Report & Analyse Delivery performance and take corrective action.
• Report & Analyse transportation performance and take corrective action.
• Drive Inventory quality improvement, E&O, DIO.

Key Skills

• Extensive knowledge Planning Process, Supplier Management
• Familiar with ERP systems (preferable JDE/SAP)
• Proficient in Excel and BI tools (preferable Power BI)
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated and ability to take initiatives.

Educational/Experience Background:

University degree or equivalent with minimum 3 years of related experience in multinational company. A degree or certificate in SCM will be an added advantage.

Running MRP & placing orders.

Order confirmation

Expedite pastdue or due with supplier which is not yet shipped.

Also work with logistic team and freight forwarders for the orders shipped.

Preparing open order report weekly

Pricing issue – work with procurement team

Part Technical issue – work with product management

Part inbound/receiving  issue – work with warehouse team

Customer order queries – work with customer service team.

For international vendors should know the documents for shipping, CI, BOL for container details, PL

Monitor Risk parts – like top runners every week, by running separate report.

Like through stock levels, OH, Avg sales, forecast, analyses  for 6 months of period, Make sure should not go out of stock.

Continuous improvement on LT, in case any delay from supplier know the reason for delay and in case any LT change.

Escalations with RCA process – key revenue risk, recovery plans

Handling invoice queries. Price error, qtys miss, PO fully utilized, GRN queries.
