Job description for MSBI and TSQL DevLead

Role Description:

This role is for a MSBI and TSQL DevLead. Candidate will be responsible for design, analysis, development, implementation, and deployment of new data-driven, applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyzing business requirements and application code.
• Requirements analysis and system design.
• Design and develop database objects, tables, stored procedures, views, triggers and SSIS packages
• Develop SSIS,SSRS projects to handle ETL, transmission, encryption, and archiving of files received and generated
• Performance tuning the SSIS, stored procedures and T-SQL.
• Assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement.
• Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end.
• Production support as needed.
• End to end understanding of software architecture, design, development and implementation.
• Continuous integration and build process, test automation and deployment.

Primary Skills (Must Have):

• Strong Practical experience using Scrum, Agile modelling and adaptive software development.
• Proven problem solving, communication, interpersonal and analytical skills
• Extensive knowledge of data warehousing concepts and data analysis.
• In-depth knowledge of standard concepts, practices and procedures related to database management
• Senior Level: 5-8 years of experience in software development, using Microsoft SQL Server 2010 R2, T-SQL, and T-SQL language (queries, views, procedures), SQL Server Database Design, Stored Procedure Design and implementation. Must know SQL inside and out.
• Experience coding complex stored procedures (using T-SQL).
• Extensive knowledge of MS SQL Server 2005/2008/2012/2014.
• Experience with developing SSIS,SSRS packages
• Proven analytical problem solving and debugging skills
• Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database integrity issues, performance issues, blocking and deadlocking issues etc.
• Experience in Performance Tuning, Query Optimization, using Performance Monitor, SQL Profiler and other related monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
• Knowledge of AWS cloud.
• Providing database support for development and deployment of database scripts in Development, Test, Pre-Production and Production environments
• Monitoring performance and managing parameters to provide fast query responses to front-end users
• Excellent English communications skills (written and verbal)

Secondary Skills (Good to Have):

• Knowledge in ASP.Net, C#, Java Script.
• Autosys scripting
• Knowledge of Design patterns, OOPS Concepts.

Qualification:

Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree level qualification in a computer science.
