The Role

We are seeking a skilled MS Teams with Enterprise Voice Specialist to design, deploy, and manage Microsoft Teams Phone solutions. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Enterprise Voice (EV), including Direct Routing, Operator Connect, Calling Plans, and voice infrastructure integration. This role requires a deep understanding of Microsoft 365, Teams Phone System, and SIP-based telephony solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, configure, and manage Microsoft Teams Enterprise Voice solutions, including Direct Routing, Calling Plans, and Operator Connect.

  • Deploy and integrate Session Border Controllers (SBCs) with Microsoft Teams.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve voice-related issues in Microsoft Teams, including call quality, routing, and interoperability with PSTN providers.

  • Manage and support Microsoft Teams policies, configurations, and voice-enabled features.
    Collaborate with network and security teams to ensure compliance and optimal performance.

  • Perform migrations from legacy PBX systems to Microsoft Teams.

  • Work with external vendors and telecom providers to ensure seamless voice connectivity.

  • Monitor Teams Voice infrastructure using analytics and reporting tools to optimize call performance.

  • Provide end-user support and training on Microsoft Teams Phone features.

  • The Workplace Collaboration Administrator is responsible for providing timely resolution to level 2 / level 3 incident, service request, change order, or problem tickets.

  • They participate in security health check and patching related activities to secure the customer IT environment and review the daily health check reports and system logs for the environment stability, taking corrective action as required.

  • They participate in change review process and collaborate with customers and other key stakeholders (internal & external) on infrastructure change activities, implementing them in a timely fashion.

  • Individuals in this job role are also responsible to work with the vendor on any open issues that are escalated for advanced support, driving those issues to closure.

The Workplace Collaboration Administrator has moderate to advanced level skills in one or more communication and collaboration technologies, both on-premise or on cloud.  This includes common collaboration tools from Microsoft (Office 365, Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, Skype, Lync, Teams, Yammer, AD/AAD, etc.), Cisco (WebEx, Jabber, etc.), HCL (Domino) and many others.Individuals in this job role possess the technical background and required experience to work on moderately complex collaboration technology project activities, provide technical recommendations and implement technical solutions approved by the customer. They also participate in helping to remediate issues and can provide level 2 / level 3 managed services support to customers.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise:

  • 3+ years of experience in Microsoft Teams Voice and Telephony Solutions.

  • Experience in PBX to Microsoft Teams migrations.

  • Knowledge of Power Automate and Power Apps for workflow automation in Teams.

  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Teams Enterprise Voice, including Direct Routing, Calling Plans, and Operator Connect.

  • Strong understanding of SIP, VoIP, PSTN connectivity, and SBC configurations (AudioCodes, Ribbon, etc.).

  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Entra ID (Azure AD), PowerShell scripting, and Teams Admin Center.

  • Knowledge of E911 compliance, call routing policies, dial plans, and number management.

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience:

  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Administrator Associate (MS-700).

  • Microsoft Certified: Teams Voice Engineer (MS-721).

  • Session Border Controller (SBC) certifications (AudioCodes/Ribbon).
